Author Guidelines
Substance of the Article
Kognisio: Journal of Christian Theology publishes original research articles, including biblical research, field research, and literature reviews that are relevant to the field of Christian theology and align with the focus and scope of Kognisio, which includes: contextual theology, digital theology, gender and sexuality theology, ecotheology, pastoral theology, entrepreneurial theology, theology and culture, and Christian education theology.
Manuscript Structure (According to the Template)
- Title: Concise and descriptive, maximum 14 words.
- Author Name: The author's full name without titles. If there are multiple authors, separate names with commas. Indicate the corresponding author with an asterisk (*) and include their email address in the Correspondence section.
- Author Affiliation: Write the name of the university (not the program). If multiple authors are from the same institution, list it once. If authors are from different institutions, use superscript numbers after the author names and match them with the corresponding affiliations.
- Correspondence: Include the email address of the corresponding author.
- Abstract: 100-200 words summarizing the problem, method, main findings, and significance of the research.
- Keywords: 3-5 keywords representing the main topic.
- Introduction: Outline the research problem using various concepts, theories, and relevant previous research, along with the objectives, novelty, and relevance.
- Research Methods: Description of the research design and methods used, including data collection techniques and data analysis techniques.
- Results: Present findings clearly and concisely, without citing sources for biblical studies and literature, nor quoting interviews for field research.
- Discussion: Provide a comprehensive explanation of the research results using various relevant concepts, theories, and previous research findings.
- Conclusion: Summarize the main points, state the limitations of the research, and suggest areas for future research.
- References: Follow APA (American Psychological Association) style for all citations and references. Authors must use Mendeley for citation writing.
Writing Format (According to the Template)
- The manuscript should be typed in Times New Roman, size 12, with 1.15 line spacing.
- Use "Normal" margins in MS Word.
- Article Length: 3,000 - 7,000 words, including references
Article Submission Process
- Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the Kognisio website.
- Include a cover letter with the author's name, affiliation, and contact information.
Review Process
- Each submission will first be examined by the Managing Editor. If it meets the criteria.
- All articles will go through a double-blind peer review process.
- Assigned reviewers will have expertise relevant to the article's topic.
- Authors may be asked to revise based on feedback from reviewers.
Writing Ethics
- Authors must ensure that their work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not currently under editorial consideration by another journal.
- All information or ideas quoted from other sources must include the source in the citation according to generally accepted citation practices.
- Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Similarity to other sources must not exceed 20%. If deemed publishable, articles with a similarity level below 40% will be returned to the author for reduction. Articles with more than 40% similarity will be immediately rejected.
Publication Fees
Currently, no publication fees are charged to authors.
